Portrait Photography Barbados
I took my trusty Hasselblad on holiday. As a rule, this doesn’t normally happen and I am the worst at taking pictures when I’m off duty. Should I ever be ‘off duty’? It’s not that I don’t love my job – I love what I do so much it’s ridiculous. To label it as ‘work’ even doesn’t sit well with me. So you may ask, why do I not take a camera on holiday – I expect it’s something to do my mindset when I’m shooting is very singular and concentrated. When I’m away, I want to dedicate that energy doing things with people I love. My children have grown up with me and my camera, it’s like another member of the family! So when it’s family time, the camera stays at home.
I made an exception recently on a trip to Barbados, a holiday but I had an assignment there too so packed the ‘Blad and took it to the beach with me where I bumped into these great local kids. As you can see, they didn’t like having their photograph taken….
I could quite happily accept Portrait photography commissions in Barbados, say once a month?
